I first started VikiBabbles as a blog on Blogspot. It may even have been called Blogger at the time. I don’t know which of those became the other, but I started before Google bought the platform. After a few years, I shed the .blogspot domain and got my own, and got a hosting plan. I posted on it constantly for years, but then various things got in the way, and then I got in my own way (my M.O.) and at some point I decided to make a few separate blogs devoted to separate things and those never went anywhere so now I’m back where it all began, not caring about the size of my audience like when I first started.
I’ll post about my travels and the food I eat. I’ll probably post a lot of pictures of my dog, Louie, who is the cutest dog in the world. And also the sweetest and the cuddliest. There will likely be lots of posts containing the random thoughts that go through my head and for that, I apologize in advance but it’s what I do. You might end up finding it amusing, who knows. You can skip whatever you don’t like. There will surely be some recipes. I will absolutely write about the restaurants I eat in. I’m sure, considering the upcoming election season, that I will write feverishly about political subjects, probably after a few glasses of wine, so while I might not be coherent, it will be clear that I do not like Donald Trump. I do intend to post videos of my travels, and possibly even podcast-type things or recordings of me reading something I’ve written. I’d planned to do that on Substack, but I had to give up on Substack when I found out that they’re okay with Nazis having Substack accounts and I’m not cool with Nazis.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you’re having a fantastic day. Or a restful one. Whichever you prefer.
Here are a few more pictures of Louie. He just turned 1 a couple of weeks ago. Despite wanting to, I didn’t have a giant birthday party for him, not because I’m not a weirdo, but because I don’t want anyone to know just how big of a weirdo I really am.
