If I had a dime for every time I said I was going to resurrect ole vikibabbles.com here, I’d have a giant ziplock bag full of dimes. It would probably be a cheap-ass off-brand of ziplock bag, and hopefully this time is not the dime that takes things one dime too far and the bag breaks, because picking up a bunch of dimes off the floor hardly seems worth the effort. Look at me. I’m already not making any sense.
Anyway, I aim to return and post somewhat regularly. Let’s go with once a week to start. Is that realistic? Technically yes. Possible, definitely. Likely? Lol. You must be new here.
I also aim to move all of my travel-related posts and content to a separate site (Viki Travels), and I’m the process of doing that (so that link may or may not take you anywhere at the moment, but it will eventually). If you’re wondering why I would want to do that, it’s mostly because I just feel like it. I’m also kinda bored because I’m stuck in my house after having had a third knee surgery in a handful of months and I’m not allowed to put any weight on my left leg so yeah, I need something to do. There are some other reasons, but those reasons don’t mean anything to anyone other than myself. Something to do with audience (which, yes, is basically zero in reality but I’m just thinking about the audience in my head, and that particular audience is extremely opinionated and really likes things to be compartmentalized).

Also, please note that in the months/years since I last posted with any regularity, WordPress has added the ability to have AI create a featured image based upon what you’ve written in your post, so of course I tried it. Those dimes look really weird and AI in general seems like a giant waste of resources and time and I hope it doesn’t take over the world, but I’m going to leave that in as the featured image because it exists and I don’t want to have wasted the energy used to create it by just tossing it aside, but I will not be using this feature in the future and if I do, I will absolutely note it. I will NOT be using AI to write anything posted here!
