About

Viki teaches fiction writing at Columbia College Chicago and received her MFA in Creative Writing in May 2012; writes a weekly column for her local paper, The Doings; mothers a couple of awesome teenagers; is trying not to become a crazy cat lady, but is willing to become a crazy dog lady. She also thinks writing bios in third person sounds really stupid, and doesn’t like it. So she’s going to stop doing it now.

Viki Babbles, the blog, is really just a collection of posts full of me babbling, photographs I take (most often of sunrises in Florida, as it turns out), and occasional bitching about some of the stupid crap that happens in the world that pisses me off.

Find me elsewhere on the interwebz:

Twitter (variety of links to stuff I’m interested in, or stuff I’m doing)

Google+ (was so excited when G+ came out, but now I’m all ‘meh, I don’t like strangers’)

Facebook (not recommended unless you know me personally)

Newsvine Column (I don’t post here much anymore, but there’s some interesting stuff in the archives)

Projects I keep forgetting to work on:

VictoriaGonia.com: Where I supposedly talk about writing and reading and words and stuff

Story Developing: I got the bright idea that I should publish something in a serial fashion. That was in March 2011.
